Asphalt Shingles Account for Nearly 70% of Domestic Roofing Installations

Asphalt ShinglesAsphalt shingles are by far the preferred material roofs accounting for nearly 70% of domestic roofing installations according to the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the Bob Vila blog. As Bob Vila points out, it's not hard to see why asphalt shingles are so popular since they are "lightweight, durable, attractive, and priced well compared to competitive roofing materials."

Modern asphalt shingles come in a variety of colors and styles and can match nearly every type of housing exterior. They are also one of the easiest and least expensive roofing materials to repair.

If you have questions about whether asphalt shingles or any other type of roofing material might be right for you, give us a call. Our experts can help ensure that you choose the right roof for your home.

NEMBA is a unique organization which owns and maintains several mountain biking trails including the Vietnam area of Milford which is free to the general public. This public space is the only one of its kind in the U.S. At O'LYN, we support NEMBA's efforts to preserve forest and open space, creating a healthier environment. Our NEMBA support includes our volunteer work on the trails, company membership and advertising in Single Tracks Magazine.
